Welcome to the Dachstein-Salzkammergut Mountainbike Grand Prix. This part of the website offers teams and athletes all important information about Austria's most spectacular cross country race.

We look forward to spending a weekend with you and to seeing lots of world-class mountain biking in this breathtaking beautiful region of Austria.


The rules of UCI or Austrian Cycling Federation are executed. Cross bikes & E-Bikes are not allowed.

Mandatory helmets!

License or ÖRV Bike Card required!

The organising committee may make subsequent amendments to the rules and the tender.


Participation at your own risk; Participants waive all legal claims against third parties and also agree to be bound by subscribing to the subscriber explanation!

Prize money

Prize money according to UCI Financial Obligations.

Prize money will be paid at the location of the award ceremony starting 5 minutes after the award ceremony and last for 15 minutes only. No prize money will be distributed outside these times!

Riders must have a number board to access the course. During race activities training on the course is prohibited and riders who don't adhere to this will be disqualified.

At rider confirmation you will need to pay the appropriate entry fee and present rider licences. If you have no license, you will need the ÖRV Bike Card (can be applied an spot).

The BSFZ Obertraun Bike Arena is located in the Upper Austria Salzkammergut at the southern end of Lake Hallstatt, in the municipality Obertraun.

  • By car

    You can reach us by car taking the A1 West Motorway and turn off at “Regau/Salzkammergut”; from there you go via Bad Ischl and Hallstatt to Obertraun.

    If you are coming from the south, travel along the A10 Tauern Motorway and turn off at “Eben im Pongau”. From there travel via Annaberg, Gosau and Hallstatt to Obertraun.

    Or you can take the Main Round B 145 via Liezen and Bad Aussee to Obertraun.

  • By train

    You can reach us by train on the station “Obertraun-Dachsteinhöhlen”. From there catch the bus to the National Sports and Recreation Centre Obertraun and the Bike Arena.

  • By plane

    International flights operate to two airports in Austria and one in Germany. These airports are located at the following distance from Obertraun:

    Salzburg Airport “W. A. Mozart” - 85 km

    Blue Danube Airport Linz - 124 km

    Munich Airport “Franz Josef Strauß” - 250 km
